Downgrading Your System to Windows 8

Introduction:

Nowadays most of the systems are shipped with Windows 10 baked into them, so why would you want to downgrade your system to Windows 8 or any earlier versions? Many of our grandparents use systems that are capable of running Windows 8, but quite often they upgrade it to Windows 10 to keep it updated, but very often it doesn't work in their favor &  causes the system to become slow. This article would help you downgrade your system. We'll discuss the 2 methods of downgrading your system in this blog.

Methods:

Before we begin with either of the methods, you need to ensure you have a backup of your vital data on a Hard-Drive or on the Cloud [OneDrive/Google Drive] whichever method suits you. After you are done doing so, boot your system into the BIOS & Disable Secure Boot & Enable Legacy Boot, these options will be available under the boot configuration in the BIOS settings.

How to Boot into the BIOS:
Depending on the Laptop/Desktop you have the method to enter the BIOS similar, just the key to do so would change. Restart your system and follow the steps given below...

HP Systems:
Press the Esc key several times until you see the Startup Menu, & Press F10.

Dell Systems:
Press the F12 key several times at the Dell logo screen during startup, and select BIOS Setup or System Setup from the menu.

Asus Systems:
Either press the Del key or the F10 key based on the type of system you own.

This method would work irrespective of the brand of the system you own.

After you're finished following the above steps, let's begin with the first method.

  • The Conventional Method [Using Media Creation Tool]
